Being an Assertive is a very important part of having an effective communication. Unfortunately, there are some people who are not assertive individuals, because these person’s fear of not being likeable or even disappointing those when communicating. However, a person can avoid the way of unpleasantness when assert on the spot. Most likely an individual can jeopardize the relationship in the long run when asserting yourself and taken advantage of by those.
Effective communication is with verbal speech, when talking clearly. However effective communication comes with a process of sharing information in ways. There is the sender and the receiver of the message. Being effective in the health care industry comes from the company and the employee.

The styles are (Cheesebro, O 'Conner, & Rios, 2010) “Assertive, Aggressive, and Non-Assertive Communication”. Being assertive in the health care industry, one must use the word ("Healthy Lifestylestress Management", n.d.) “I”. However, using this term will indicate to those about what the individual is thinking before using accusations. By being assertive, the individual will know that he or she should not have just one style when communicating however having more than one style can advise those more. The appropriateness in the health care workplace that using the word “I” can show those that the person informing the patients or coworker, knows how to use the terms when speaking clearly. Instead of stating the other person in the wrong but instead taking the blame of what is going on in the surroundings, this will make the individual communication level more …show more content…
The elements of interpersonal communication ("Interpersonal Communication", 2011-2016) “communicator, message, noise, channel, and context”. The skills that the writer has chosen, is that the writer have elements to be assertive and not chose to be aggressive or non-assertive. By saying so the writer can support employers, coworkers, and patients by connecting with him or her more than the aggressive and non-assertive communication. For example, when first working in the health care workplace, it was life changing. The workplace in the health care industry taking the self-assess can show those how to have a communication style. Taking this self-assess element test can show how a person will communicate and when the individual take the self-assess he or she will learn how to change his or her communication style
