Being assertive in the health care industry, one must use the word ("Healthy Lifestylestress Management", n.d.) “I”. However, using this term will indicate to those about what the individual is thinking before using accusations. By being assertive, the individual will know that he or she should not have just one style when communicating however having more than one style can advise those more. The appropriateness in the health care workplace that using the word “I” can show those that the person informing the patients or coworker, knows how to use the terms when speaking clearly. The skills that the writer has chosen, is that the writer have elements to be assertive and not chose to be aggressive or non-assertive. By saying so the writer can support employers, coworkers, and patients by connecting with him or her more than the aggressive and non-assertive communication.
