Throughout life people encounter hard decisions, awkward situations, and dangerous conditions. When faced with one of these situations, many times the first thing people look to for assistance is the internet. Why do people consult the internet someone may ask? For no other reason than to search for good solid advice to get them through the situation or bind they are currently facing. Not only do people use the internet, but before this brilliant research tool was invented people actually conferred with each other for advice. Giving advice continues to be the main way people solve their problems when in tough situations. She knows she wants to complete her education and get a job, but she is not sure which college to attend for her career choice. Sandy needs help and the first thing she does is go to her friends for advice. Sandy asks her best friend Jim, then her other friend Jack, and finally her friend Sadie. She goes home that night and dwells on the two cents her friends had put in on what she should do upon graduation. She contemplates the advice for the next couple of days, but decides to go with her gut and do what she thinks will benefit her most. Since she does this she will not be taking any of the advice passed on to her from her friends. They may call her an askhole, but in this situation it turned out to be a good thing that she was. She got to hear opinions from multiple people, and consider them over a period of time before making a decision. If she would have only asked one person and followed the advice as soon as it was given, she could have potentially chosen the wrong path for herself, and her future could have taken a different route. However, there is a catch, Tom has to make his decision in 10 minutes. He quickly calls his mother, and then his father. He looks at the clock and sees he only has five minutes and should probably think about it for himself for a moment. His parents told him to take the money, because Tom could spend it any way he would want, even buy a different car if he wanted to.
