Marketing “uses advertising as a way to inform” people on “businesses” services”, “and products” (Kokemuller, 2016). There are many secrets behind how marketers use advertising to “influence the thoughts and behaviors” of viewers. Advertising uses “specific tones or settings” in their advertisements as a way to “persuade” viewers (Kokemuller, 2016). Whether it’s a political, commercial, or public health service advertisement a specific tone is set to attract viewers, and persuade him or her to “change” his or her “thoughts and behavior” (Kokemuller, 2016). Many tones are used in commercial’s, political campaign ads, and public health ads to arouse specific emotions, thoughts, and behavior. Some tones maybe “upbeat”, “helpful”, “sad”, “scary”, “wholesome”, “or energetic”, and even “dreary” (Kokemuller, 2016). Many advertisements are displayed as a story, with music at a slow, or fast pace to set a certain tone to its audience. How the character portrays his or her “attitude and moods” in the advertisements has a huge impact on persuading the viewers as well (Kokemuller, 2016). The tone, and settings are what brings out the emotions, and marketers know that people are “influenced by emotions when making decisions” (Kokemuller, 2016). The overall tone for this advertisement was to attract a personal appeal to its audience. The video had a few different settings. One displaying home life, and another outside at a park. It contained humor, love, and comfort of a normal family. It revolves on brotherly love. The music suited the product, and a warm feeling of family life(reality). It expressed how older brothers taunt the younger one. At the park the younger brother is alone, and about to drink a Coke (Coca Cola, 2016). A few bullies come and try to take his drink, and his brother steps in to rescue him. Coke marketers knew how to appeal to the consumers.
