College Admissions Essay: The Point Of Life

Ever just think about everything there is? Whenever I am bored, thinking about random ideas seems to be something I like to do a lot. I think about everything there is to think about. I am not sure why, but it’s fun to do sometimes. Eventually, one day while I was bored, I thought, “What am I doing with my life?” I am just sitting down on my couch doing nothing. It did not seem like I was really living, I was just there existing. I was not truly living, not doing what I wanted to do, which was something, something adventurous. I never understood what the point of life would be if I decided to just stay at home all day doing nothing at all. Sure, it is doable, but what is the point? What is the fun out of it? I want to live my life, not just be here. Living, in my opinion, does not have to only mean to …show more content…
Look at me, for example, a student who never does any clubs at all. It was something I never got into, going to clubs after school. One club in elementary school in Elementary School and I never returned. It became a routine, to just simply ignore all the club messages. But just last year I decided to challenge myself, to adventure out of my comfort zone and try out a new club. It was time for a change is what I told myself, and my friends too, who also did not participate in clubs, to join me. Their opinion was like mine, we all loved it! It gave us something to do on all those days of no homework, something we look forward to doing every week. Everyone has their own philosophy, and this will be mine for a very long time. Sure, people may disagree and say that adventure isn’t necessary for life, but for me, I simply can not see how someone can be okay with adventure. Even winter break can be tough for me, seeing how my family does not go anywhere and I am stuck indoors. I guess some people just like living a boring life, but not me. One life is all we have, and I plan to live this life to the
