Does America provide access to the American dream? The American dream is the basic ideal of a perfect life ( financially secure), perfect house and that little cliched white picket fence , that keeps in your golden retriever named buster, lucky , or john. Does this country still provide these these things for all to have and take!? No. America does not provide access to the American dream. Although the American dream is an outdated concept , there are some who are out there who managed to make it happen for example many celebrities and well known people took the whole “ rags to riches “ mantra to heart, people like oprah Winfrey, Jim Carrey, etc. these people came from nothing and built themselves up to where we see them today.

You start looking for a job ,it's taking longer than you thought. You have to go back and live with your parents until you get a call back on your job interviews. Sure you can get any job after college but can you get one in your field , “ Many college graduates make the grave mistake of assuming that their degree alone will qualify them for a job.” (Briankim.net) There are many college graduates who think that just because they have a degree they will automatically be eligible for many Career opportunities . But the truth in the matter is if you don't have the job experience you are not going anywhere. Part of what makes the American dream so luxurious, is being able to spend money on whatever you want outside of the general day by day necessity, being able to take a vacation every now and then. Nowadays not many younger people whether native to here or otherwise get real high paying jobs with or without a college degree . So the option to live comfortably with all of life's necessities and a bit more is already almost gone. Their is no way to achieve the American dream with minimum wage for jobs unless you got a major plan like invent a new search engine or social
