On November 5th, 1958 Jennings Randolph took to office as a Senator of West Virginia. Senator Randolph 's career is expressed in the limelight of many younger American citizens. This is because Randolph dedicated his time in office to lower the age requirement to vote. Randolph thought that if 18 years older were old enough to be drafted into the army and fight for their country, then they should be old enough to vote for those trying to have a seat in any form of American government. Rejection after rejection, Randolph finally receive the decision he wanted.
