The Importance Of AP Classes

Having a decent education is one of the things that I, and many other, deem important. From the very beginning, many people are taught that having a higher form of education is important, and many also believe that AP classes are a key to doing well in college. Knowledge is a powerful thing, and it is important that young people try their hardest become more knowledgeable; most of that stems from academics. I believe taking AP classes will help me accomplish those ideas; I wish become wiser as a student and an individual. Using the past skills I have learned and new ones, I know I am able to have a more challenging education, show how attentive and diligent I am, and to create a new way to manage my new rigorous courses.

“The AP program is the national standard for academic rigor and college readiness, providing high school students with the opportunity to take college-level courses in a high school setting” (Rice University 1). This description of the AP program gives me even more reason to join it. Although I have the option to take classes at Solano Community College, it is not always practical. Taking college-level classes at Buckingham Charter Magnet High School will make my education not only more feasible, but it will also help me learn more and ponder more profoundly about the topics I am reviewing. It states that the challenging curriculums will assist me in developing into an improved student for both high school and college. When I was a child, my father always told me how essential it was to obtain respectable grades and to be admitted into a fantastic college. Being an adolescent and impressionable, I always took those talks indispensable; he enjoyed speaking about it no less than once a month, so that forced it to be embedded in my mind also. I refuse to be another person that walks blindly. Having knowledge is an unalienable right that should be taken seriously. No matter who one is, one’s brain is always craving for more. With challenging courses that take me beyond my peers, I will be able to do exactly that. AP courses will give me the chance to be an improved, well-rounded
