The Importance Of A Veteran SCHA Student

Decent Essays
I think the 11 years I have been at the school will help me share a great perspective of a veteran SCHA student. Knowing the ways in which a student should act. I have been brought up by the CHA/SCH ways, I know the 5 stripes of CHA by heart, and am becoming nicely acquainted with the SCH six. The most important contribution I can bring to the table is school pride. I want my school to have a great reputation within the community.

National Junior Honor Society is a great opportunity for me, and is an organization that I really hope to be in. I love doing service not because I am forced to, but I get to be with my friends and is also a way for me to give back to the community. I love helping the needy and have participated in countless activities. For example, I was a part of a group that put together care kits for the homeless, picked up trash at a park, and created blankets for the needy. Being in NJHS will give me a chance to find even more ways to do more service and become a leader.…

I feel that I can contribute my perspective and knowledge, without overpowering, but with clarity and the want for people to understand. I can contribute not only my mind but also my time.…

Community is important to me. I grew up in a small town where you knew your neighbors, and chances were that you lived down the street from at least one of your teachers. Where every summer Saturday, the entire block would meet in somebody’s backyard- a fire would be lit, and all of us kids would roast marshmallows and hotdogs, and play on the wooden swing-set, playing out stories and adventures. My community wasn’t just a place where I lived and went to school- it was a family.…

My communication skills and ability to quickly understand policies that affect people has helped me meet the needs of those I served across many different contexts. Although these characteristics have played a vital role in helping me achieve certain outcomes, still, I can further develop these skills through my involvement in USC’s MHA program. Among the most appealing features of USC’s MHA program is their “strong ties to the healthcare community” that allows MHA students to put classroom concepts into practice in real life situations [1]. In my case, I have been able to apply core concepts from Sociology to enhance people’s relationships with an institution, all while balancing the needs and wants of both parties.
