This was quite the experience for myself. Learning about new cultures and worldviews, facing many fears, pushing my physical and mental limits, and doing my best to understand perspectives I do not necessarily agree with.
It was my first official trip outside of the Valparaíso region and I was truly flowing with the moments as they came. No set plans but plenty of possibilities and a new lively city to explore. Many new friendships formed, plenty of life lessons learned, and definite personal growth with my own soul.

Do not let the inhibitions of others influence your own desires. While I wanted (and tried) to remain with the greater group I knew that this would be my only trip to Pucón while I am in Chile this time around so I did all I could to make my experience worthwhile. A podcast I listened to on the bus ride home from Pucón said “Be the beautiful you know you love” (http://www.npr.org/2013/04/19/174724704/what-is-beauty).
This resonated with me and made me think critically about what is the beauty I love. Although I don’t have finite answer still, I know I will strive to be the beautiful that I know I love. The kind of beauty that fills me with bliss and makes me feel apart of something so much grander than myself, the kind that makes me stop to appreciate the love in everything and everywhere, and the kind that makes me want to be a better me.
Each day I am doing my best to enjoy this world without the limits of fear and self-doubt closing doors and opportunities. Grateful for the lessons I learned this weekend. Striving to be a better person by adapting to the moments and staying true to my own values and principles.
