Traditional Family Parenting

In recent years a new definition of family has emerged, changing the traditional meaning of family. A traditional family used to consist of two parents, children and a puppy all living under the same roof. This would be considered a picture perfect family. Times have changed, most children stay at daycares just about the full day including nights while parents go to work in a daily basis. Couples of same sex marriage raising children as their own increased greatly since its approval by congress. In other aspects, an increase of children being involved with child protective services. The mother would care for the child and educated them. Nowadays, children are being raised by daycares or caregivers, because both parents need to work. A child always needs a role model they inmate what they see and hear. Parents aren’t realizing the ones molding their children are the daycares. It’s important to show children how to respect one another, how to help each other and show them right from wrong. As one can imagine no one can do this better than a parent. An example, a caregiver may use vulgar language and risk the chances of influencing those around them. In addition, they may see images or programs on TV that are not appropriate for their age. For instance, the Simpson’s show has many vulgar language and it is very violent. What can be seen as normal or appropriate for others might be seen differently for parents. Nowadays, parents leave their children unattended while parents go to work or party increasing their chances of getting hurt. For example, a child might get burned trying to heat their own food in the microwave. This is only one of the scenarios that may happen when a child is home alone. Another example, may be a child might ingest medications or open the door to a stranger. Many children have been removed by child protective services and placed in foster care due to similar cases. I have seen personally how children suffer because parents made the wrong decision. It’s sad to see how they cry and yell to go back with their parents. Even though, they have been unattended children want to be with their family. This is the importance of having a united family where they can feel safe. The meaning family has changed in the past years. Especially with new laws passing every year that, I do not agree with. It seems the world will not stop changing; I’m pretty sure new things will be heading our way but not for the better. What I’m sure I would like to keep it the way my parents and grandparents showed me. Following my religious believe and showing my children what’s wrong and right from my point of view. The term “Family” has changed but not for me. It’s hard to keep a family united and with principles but with God and love everything is
