Importance of a stronger relationship between students and library
A college library is one of the most important assets students will need to succeed academically. With library support, students have access to good resources to complete the assignments given to them. The books in college and university libraries are divided by subject, using the Library of Congress system, therefore, it does not matter if a student transferred from a community college to a university, they will be able to find exactly what they are looking for, and with a little assistance from the librarians, students have all the tools necessary to complete tasks successfully. That is, if students visit the library constantly and look for the assistance it can provide.

They use the Library of Congress system, which allows students doing research to find several resources in one place; Students are only allowed to check out ten items at a time, but Matt Todd, the Associate Dean of Learning and Technology Resources of NVCC’s Alexandria Campus, states it does not depend on the quantity of items, but how many items in the same subject the student is checking out. The librarians ensure all students can have access to resources, not just the student who gets there first.
