A career has various elements that pertain to it that people, including myself often overlook. It is important to think about what I may want out of my career in the future, having short and long term goals. It is important to know how much I can earn in my career, what exactly I do and can do as a new graduate, what organizations I can get involved in, the issues my career faces, my potential employers and reflecting what skills I can bring to the table along with skills I can improve on. Nursing is my career and it offers many options to choose from. Throughout my research and analysis, I have constructed a plan for now, a year from now and five years to come.

Depending on the hospital, there will be contracts for the amount of time they put into you; you will have to work there to give them back that time and some places even allow you to train in a specialty. They are trying to define what clean and sterile really means also involving if a sterile technique aids in wound healing. The benefits of using clean techniques are less costly and take less time while the disadvantages are inclusive. Research is unsure if infections are a higher risk with the clean technique (Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society, 2016, ¶ 19). However, I believe a sterile technique should be used for all wound dressing whether they are invasive dressing or not. A clean glove is sitting in a box open to the air, while a sterile glove is sealed shut in a package. I would not want to risk anything getting onto that wound and causing an infection. The only way to further evaluate this issue is to continue to research but first deciding on what a clean technique and a sterile technique mean along with trial and
