As an accountant, my code of ethics encompasses integrity, communication, respect, and confidentiality. In order to uphold a high level of integrity in my personal and work life, it is important to develop and follow a personal code of ethics. This code of ethics will be used to inspire me to continue to grow as a person. When facing hard decision in which the right answer is not obvious, I will be able to refer to this code of ethics to facilitate my decision. As an accounting professional, my word and reputation are vital to my career. Therefore, I must be carful in the decisions I make and in the actions I take to remain above reproach.

As I have grown and continued to better my relationship with God, I better understand what it means to live like Christ. This understanding and relationship with God, is a driving force in my life and my morals. I learned the importance not only of actions but also intent behind the actions. A verse that always gives me strength is Romans 12:2 (ESV), “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” The bible is my moral and ethical compass. When I am confused or unsure of what to do, I pray to God and let him answer me through scripture. I verse that repeatedly turn to in these hours is Psalm 15:1-5 (ESV) A Psalm of David. “O Lord, who shall sojourn in your tent? Who shall dwell on your holy hill?
