I have always been a young woman who is dedicated to the improvement and well being of those around me and have been a leader in whatever activity I put my mind toward. Whether as the Captain of the JV Girls Volleyball team at ZCHS, as a Young Disciple at Antioch, our church’s youth group, a team leader participating in the Catholic Heart Work Camp or as an employee at Mikes Carwash, Outback Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Woodwind Golf Club, I am always looking for opportunities to be a leader and give back to those around me.

I have learned what it means to be a team player and effective leader by learning and developing life skills through my experiences. The field of nursing is highly demanding and requires a very wide variety of skills such as collaboration, positive attitude and mentality, good work ethic, responsibility etc., which is why nursing has become such a highly respected profession. Nurses must use such skills on a daily basis whether during patient care, working with other hospital staff such as physicians, CNAs, and other nurses, working long hours, or being put in tough/emergent situations. Becoming a nurse been my biggest passion and aspiration my entire life and I know my life experiences have even better prepared me and excited me to become a nurse. Working in a team, having a positive attitude, learning how to collaborate and work well with others (especially in tough situations), perseverance, and learning to be a leader are all skills that I have learned and that will help me become a successful nurse in the professional
