Have you ever wondered how some people manages to live for over 100 years? Some people think that they just live a healthy lifestyle, some people think that these people have a secret magical drink that they keep, and then there are some who thinks that there are just some people who are lucky to be able to live such a long life. During the olden days, the life span of a person is indeed much longer than the life span of an average person today. In a research that says humans have never or will ever live longer than 122 years, a Biology professor, Steven Austed, of the University of Alabama in Birmingham, said that this might not be true since scientists used to believe that the lifespan of a normal human being is 110 years and the only way …show more content…

It is your responsibility to look after it, and you can do it by simply watching your weight and eating the right kind of foods such as fruits and vegetables. However, eating properly without exercise is not enough, you must keep in mind that by doing exercises, your body will be stronger.

Going to the gym every single day and having such toned muscles are most certainly not required, just by going for a run or by simply dancing in your room can be considered as an exercise, providing you do it at a certain amount of time that it will make you sweat and that your muscles have flexed enough. Do the things that would give smile both on your face and in your heart. If you're happy when you spend time with your family and friends, then do it. If you're happy helping out in an animal shelter, then don't let anyone stop you. You are in control of your life. Problems and hardships will always be there but it is how you deal with them that would make you the type of person you want to be. Don't let stress take over your life, you would feel like you're not exactly living your life if you let stress get to you.

• Accept The Fact That Life Is Short – to some people, living longer is such a great thing because you get to witness a lot of things, you get to see how people evolve and you get to experience things that many people would only read in history books. However, having such a long life is worthless if you haven't lived at all. If you are 100 years of age and you don't like what you're doing, you don't like where your life is going or worse, you didn't get to do the things you wanted to do when you were younger, what's the purpose of living so long?
It is a fact that life is short since no one really knows when someone is going to die. A doctor cannot predict certain deaths, like the exact place or time that it will happen. The best way to live is to live how you want to live, do the things you want to do, because the excitement brings joy and once you have done it, you'll be happy and with that moment you

Life extension technology is the research and application of slowing down aging process through medicine and other technologies. Bostrom and Roache objection against life extension would deprive life of meaning and exacerbate the existing social problems associated with an aging population (B&R 4). Per B&R response, that life extension technology will inevitably lead to give one’s life meaning and mark out one’s life as one’s own would eventually be completed or abandoned, leaving infinite years of life in which there are no remaining ambitions or desires to fulfil (Bostrom & Roache 4). However, the longevity contributes more to the world of having the right to life, which entitles people to have a meaningful life. I agree that Bostrom and Roache argument…

“I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet” by Jack London. He establishes the meaning of how he would much rather live an adventurous fun life than a average dull meaningless one. I agree with this quote, I believe to live your long life out, you need to take risks and make choices you are not 100% sure on. For example, the saying YOLO, “you only live once”, is expressing how you have one life and the goal is to live it to the fullest, experiencing thrill, love, accomplishment, etc. Although some may feel that it is a cover up to be reckless and unreliable, the truth is that it is a statement that means to spend your life doing what you love.…

First, there is the most conservative theory known as the compressed morbidity theory. This theory isn’t about the “length” or “time” associated with the extension of life but rather addresses the process of postponing age-related illnesses, thus leading to longer active lives. Even though we are technically alive and breathing does that necessarily mean we are living? That is exactly what this theory strives to address, it is the science behind maintaining a youthful lifestyle and extending the capability of retaining a healthy, youthful lifestyle for as long as physically possible. Another anti-aging theory or approach is the decelerating aging process.…

The Power of Life To think about life, and the real meaning behind it, no one really truly knows the meaning of life. There is a dictionary definition of life; the condition that distinguishes animals and plants from inorganic matter, including the capacity for growth, reproduction, functional activity, and continual change preceding death. But people do not go through the same struggles as others, they do not fall in love the same way and they do not grieve the same way. The power of life is how an individual views the meaning of it, not about how society builds the meaning of life.…
