Most Americans have often wondered what a great society would look and feel like. I have also thought about this and the qualities that could lead citizens into a superb society. In a sort of society that could be impeccable, many actions must take place and those who choose to be a leader need to take responsibility for the things that shall go on. A great society does not only take a lot of responsibility by those who choose to lead, but as well takes citizens willing to strive for greatness and get along with each other by default instead of choice. This can be known as gun control, but there are many more weapons being created that people are able to buy. People are buying weapons as if they were going to a grocery store to buy food and this needs to be altered. This is important because having weapons such as guns can be the definition of life or death for some people. Most people do not understand the lengths people go to cause either self harm or harm to others by using machine guns. Currently, people can buy guns at the age of 18 in most states and it is very easy to get a hold of a machine gun. Gun control will solely start with changing the minimum age from 18 to 25. Instead of selling weapons to those who choose to buy a gun that shoots 100 rounds a minute to “protect” themselves, there must be a determining factor to buy these weapons. That determining factor should be something such as a hunting license, or if you do want a weapon to protect yourself, a pistol that will shoot, but not completely kill a mass group of people. If one does want to purchase a gun to hunt, it will be a specified rifle that shoots only a few bullets at a time. If one wants to purchase a gun to protect themself, it will be a handheld pistol that will shoot two, three, or four bullets at a time. Currently, there are many illegal immigrants in the United States who hope to come here for a better life and never return to their designated country. Some people believe this is ok, but others hope for change as the United States becomes more and more populated each day. This issue is relevant because everyone deserves to have a home and be treated equally, but we must remember that there is a proper way to become a legal immigrant. We must crack down on those who come to the United States with a visa, but then stay illegally. There are different types of visas that will allow an immigrant to stay in the United States for up to 90 days or six months. The problem is that these immigrants are coming on the visas, but then staying here passed their time limit. This is a problem because it will limit the safety of the people who are United States citizens. This is also controversial because anyone has the ability to become a legal United States citizen if that person is taking the right precautions. A test must be taken in order to become a citizen of the United States as long as many other regulations that are set to protect those who are U.S. citizens. Although, we try to find those who are here illegally even though they are given the opportunity to become a citizen, we must be more strict to ensure the safety of others.
