On April 24, 2017, a Disciplinary Hearing was held in the Superintendent’s Conference Room to discuss allegations that on 3/23/17 you took a vacation day in which you did not have enough vacation accrual hours to cover for that day. On 9/19/16, you received a formal Letter of Counsel regarding calling in sick without having a sufficient amount of sick accrual hours to cover that day.

During this hearing, you stated that you were unaware of not having enough vacation accrual hours to cover the day and that from now on, you will check the SAP before requesting any day off. Time and Attendance is a major component to the safe and efficient operation of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Based on a review of your time and attendance records, and
