My suggestion for you is to invest in a recreational center for all teens and young adults. This recreational center I am suggesting would have a variety of things such as: a sports center, a library\learning center, and a game center. It would be available for teens and young adults throughout the week. It would also have a tutoring program to help kids who are struggling in school.…

Here you need to give a real reason. Here are a few, “I had a new manager every year, and every time I made an impression, the manager would get fired, moved or promoted and I would have to start impressing a new person all over again.” Another option is, “The company has always been struggling and it was tough hanging on to my job at all. Whenever promotions were mentioned, my bosses would cry about their finances and budgets and my pleas were ignored, which is why I left in the end.” Why do you want to start at an entry-level job?…

The assignment I chose to make revisions to was the Resume and Cover Letter assignment. I chose this assignment not only because of my letter grade, but also because I feel this assignment will be beneficial in my future when sending off a cover letter and resume to potential employers. Final Portfolio Cover Letter I have always enjoyed writing so I feel like classes such as these help me more than others. Before I finish college I hope to take some sort of creative writing class as I feel as I haven’t given that opportunity much in recent years amidst constant essays on topic that I do not care about. As a writer I believe my biggest strength is that when I start writing I can keep writing almost until I have run out of things to write about or am interrupted for some reason. I also feel as though I’m very good at writing about things I am passionate about and if I care about a topic you will be able to clearly tell when reading what I wrote.…

Cosmopolitan makes a distinction between female and male work automatically with the article title, implying that some careers are better suited for women. A handful of the specific jobs chosen (like physical trainer, interior designer, and interpreter) are stereotypical jobs that require creativity and social skills. Some of the options even paint women has non-ambitious and a little lazy: “Want to treat and diagnose patients, make bank […], but avoid six years of med school—and student loan debt? Consider becoming a physician’s assistant” (Triffin). Other options directly connect the career with the possibility of romance rather than true passion and ambition as in the case of the option of becoming a video game designer: “Want to make every dude you meet worship the ground you walk on?”…

Although almost all the work assigned to us was vital to be an effective engineer in the industry, one of the assignments was more important than the others in improving our chances to even make our way into the industry. It was the work related to the résumé, specifically, skill set résumé. I chose this piece of technical writing over the rest because of its importance, especially in the modern world. A résumé is key to qualify for a wide range of opportunities including, but not limited to, jobs (including part-time jobs!), scholarships or even a highly-impacted club. A résumé acts as a personal marketing brochure and is typically, your first impression to an employer.…
