The first career that I researched was a career in engineering. I chose this career partially because of my own interest and based off of the results of my Big6 Research and the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. I realized while writing that I could live comfortably off of the salary that engineers make. I also found that the education was not too strenuous, however, like any college, it is expensive. The first research method that I used to help me determine whether or not a career in biology would be right for me was the multiple intelligence inventory. My top intelligence on this was logical, meaning I like to use reason, logic, and numbers. One of the careers that link to people with the logical intelligence is a career in science, and biology is a form of science. My second intelligence was naturalist, this means that I enjoy understanding the natural world of plants and animals, and making observations about these things. This is essentially what a career in biology is. The other research method that I used to determine biology as a possible career choice for me was the career clusters research method. My number one career cluster ended up being a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Since biology is a scientific field, according to my career clusters results, this career would fit me well. This career cluster includes research and development, and providing new scientific research to society. Both of these are things that a biologist

I’ve read many textbooks and field guides over the years, which started as an amusing pastime. However, the more I read, the more I became completely and utterly engrossed in the subject which eventually shaped me into what I am today.…
