This study presents an analytical model to predict project success based on what project approach is selected. It posits that it is very important to ensure that the project management approach selected considers the nuances of each project not just using a one size fits all approach. The methodology used according to Alawneh &Sweis was: “a questionnaire consisting of three parts (Demographic, EI scale based on Goleman Model, and Manager Effectiveness survey) was constructed to collect data. Then SPSS was used to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and project managers’ effectiveness. The data included 59 companies and PM with experience. The study’s authors are both faculty members from the University of Jordan from the Department of Business administraation.
The results of the study showed that there is a significant connection between emotional intelligence and successful project management. The limitation to this study is the selection of PM…meaning they could be more diverisified. It is appropriate for my research audiennce because it gives a foundation to based their practices on so when they initialized change they have a baseline.
