The Church was a major political force during Western Civilization. Kings and Queens begged for the approval of papal, especially at the times they were weak. This along with other factors allowed for the Church to implement political power, and help determine which individuals would be considered acceptable for the throne. The liberties and rights that are presently operational for political parties are a great degree from Christianity influences. The Catholic Church and Christianity influenced the belief that the law is the same for everyone regarding their status. It has been said that 1000 years prior to the birth of Jesus, Moses stated “no man is above the law”. Many countries today utilize the Judeo-Christian law meaning witnesses attest.
