According to dictionary.com, Industrialization is best defined as “the large scale introduction of manufacturing, advanced technical enterprises, and other productive economic activity into an area, society, and a country.” As America started to develop as a nation it went through several technological advances. The Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain, but later spread to America; during the 19th century, American Industrialization occurred. During the American Industrialization, there were inventions which included “transportation being expanded. Second, electricity was effectively harnessed. Third, improvements were made to industrial processes such as improving the refining process and accelerating production.” The Industrialization increased production and helped the nation develop as an economic giant but it also had negative effects.
