We can’t deny that technology has advanced and helped our world in positive ways. Technology has made an impact in medical fields, schools, and our everyday lives. If technology hadn’t advanced so much, we wouldn’t have cat scans in hospitals, smart boards in school, or even phones that last a while under water.

Technology is very exciting because it involves a variety of people working together to create new inventions. My favorite thing about working with others as a team is that we all have ideas to share. We can all have our own input and even come up with a way to improve things like the Balsawood Bridge. When we all combine our ideas it creates something new and useful. For example, the Balsawood Bridge was a challenge for my team and

The research I did for the Balsawood Bridge, made it easier for me to understand what type of bridge I should make. There were so many types of bridges, it was difficult to choose because the engineers that made the bridges I was researching on made the bridges last long and strong. Throughout my research I explained to my team that whichever type of bridge we decided to make it will come out good because every type of bridge has its unique way of

holding on together and its own way of being very strong thanks to the engineers that made them.

It makes me smile knowing how much our world has advanced thanks to those who are engineers, and those who work on developing new technologies. Its amazing what that they have made so far, from computers and ginormous sky scrapers to robots that help other people. It is also exciting to find out what new thing things engineers will

In the 2015 Shell STEM showdown, we had to make a catapult that could throw a small bean bag to the target. We all had different ideas to make the catapult that we ended up making two catapults. It was so shocking to see how almost every team had a different strategy in to making the catapult. We did great in our catapult but unfortunately it wasn’t good enough to make our team win but that’s okay it’s the fact that we had fun making it that count. These types of competitions are great way to make anyone learn, work and feel like an

I chose to research about technology for my Outside Reading project for multiple reasons. One reason is that technology is the topic that most interests me since there are many possibilities with it and it’s never known what can happen to it. Another reason is because technology is a lot more modern today than they were back then because people rely on them more than they used to. Finally, technology is fun to play with and it’s also very fun to see what is going on about it and what breakthroughs have happened recently. The “Researchers enable patient to use brain to move fingers on prosthetic arm” article was the one I liked the most for several reasons.…
