The Impact Of Technology On Football

Technology such as clothing and equipment development, sporting facilities and stadium development, video and computer games and more have had a huge impact on football.
Officiating a football match includes consulting a third referee and replay technology. A third referee is a person that would be referred to if the umpires could not resolve a problem. For example if a player may have touched the ball with their hand. Then replay technology was bought in. Before this technology numerous of occasions came about where controversial goal or no goal has been given and players have gotten away with fouls and handballs.
By having replay technology and a third referee it stops a lot of controversy about the match in play. This then stops players becoming irritated and wound up if they think what they saw was right, leading to less rioting at football stadiums.
Also replay technology stops any chance of cheating occurring leading the football having a better reputation as it can be exploited badly though the media.
