Today’s educational system has more than exceeded the goals of the education pioneers. Each year students of all ages set the goals and standards for those individuals following in his or her steps. The growth can be greatly contributed to technology as its provided means to further education beyond the classroom and in it. Technology has also has its detractors, but that doesn’t hinder the success it has in the educational system. One may find the classroom on their computer or in his or her email as it’s versatile and beneficial to all students. The broad range of benefits outweighs the problems that negate the support of technology. In society one may rely on technology to communicate or to do work at times. The answer is one of the more reliable and highly tech-savvy professionals in the education system. Each student or teacher in elementary or college goes to the library more often than not for computers or books. In the room, there are is an individual known as a librarian or media specialist who is key in providing people the benefits of technology in education. According to, Kristina Holzweiss, in Edmodo, “a school librarian is required to become a digital citizen…” (16). This is accurate seeing as librarians provide media equipment, handle school databases, and are often setting up student accounts. These are the educator’s people trust most because; they almost always have a solution while being a beneficial tool to the school system. The colleagues of librarians could learn from them as well according to Colleen Graves. In Graves’s article tend to “ask for [her] help incorporating technologies into their lessons” (1). The endless possibilities could include miniature technology lessons or co-worker information sessions that would benefit an individual professionally or personally.
