There are few point of view are taken such as the technical point of view, economic, traffic safety, and environmental point of view. It a compulsory that we take more concern on the environmental point of view. For environmental, the focus on the environmental point of view is on the parts of the negative impact of transport such as the air pollution, noise, soil contamination, harm done to the protected natural areas, and to the landscape. It can be described in two terms where involves the impact of transport infrastructure on the development of the living environment that is quantitative and qualitive terms. In the quantitative terms, it is clearly that to the road safety measures applied in a comprehensive manner, to the asphalt streets of appropriate size, to the pedestrian and bicycle part, decreasing number of injuries and accidents on the streets and reducing the level of air and noise pollution in the surroundings of the separate streets are positively influences the public …show more content…
The main objective of sustainable development in Lithuania is to achieve by 2020, the development level of the EU countries of 2003, according to the indicators of economic and social development as well as to the efficiency in consumption of resources, and to stay within the EU’s permissible limits, according to the environmental pollution indicators, while meeting the requirements of international conventions to minimize environmental pollution and input into global climate
