Subaru is a manufacturing division of Fuji Heavy Industries, a transportation conglomerate out of Japan. Subaru initially supplied the Japanese Military with helicopters and vehicles, but made nearly 80% of their earnings by selling cars. Being in the American auto-industry, Subaru is under the supervision of the United States Department of Transportation. Subaru vehicles undergo strenuous testing to ensure that they meet all safety standards and regulations. Certain Subaru models, including the Subaru Impreza WRX S.T.I., are not sold in the U.S. market due to their failure to meet safety and environmental regulations. Subaru has added; blindspot sensors, rearview cameras, new airbag technology, high-tech assisted driving features, and much more to compete with the expanding tech/auto universe. Globally we are seeing a rise in low emission cars, electric vehicles, and some prototypes of self driving vehicles. This rush of automotive technology creates a competitive market for car companies to keep up with. More hands off technology is becoming common is cheaper cars, setting a new standard of technology all cars should have (i.e. bluetooth calling). Subaru has successfully pleased customers by adding many of these new features in most of their vehicles. Additionally, Subaru has added technology that lasts year after year.
