There once was a message sent saying ,”what hath God wrought” .This was considered the first message ever sent in American History . This message changed our fatal society by facilitating an easier way to communicate with people even if they are miles away. Before cell phones and computers , many people communicated by using morse code, smoke signals, birds, and SOS. Until an inventor came along and wanted to make a change. This life changing inventor was a guy named , Samuel Morse. This invention was called,” The Telegraph”. He also invented many other things like “Morse Code” and other specialties that deal with technology too but he thrived and wanted something different . He wanted to make it easier not only for business people but for our whole society. This invention took him many years of hard work and dedication just to get the structure perfect and just how he wanted it. Samuel didn’t want just a temporary fix ,he wanted something long term that lasted many years and worked even when the weather was bad. …show more content…
It also used buttons just like a keyboard on a computer but there were like two instead of 26. The buttons were sturdier and were more like trumpet keys. Samuel also attached a nozzle that you whined up in order to talk . It was basically like a jack n the 'box but nothing came out of it except sound. HIs assistants Alfred Vail and Joseph Henry played a major role with the design and certain parts of the telegraph. Vail was in charge of the A,B,C’s and the 1,2,3’s , he was the one who constructed a key. Vail constructed an alphabet and a numeral key ,basically just like morse code.
