In the book Power and Choice by Shively he describes political culture to be a society that consists of attitudes and beliefs that form the basis of their political behavior. To put it into different terms it is a state that has similar views all around that in whole makeup their political views. Religion plays a tremendous role in political culture that can either create peace or issues in a society. This is often not covered by the media like terroristic acts. The United States plays a role in terroristic acts ourselves, this is by racially profiling every Muslim as part of the extremist group. The main reason for this is social media. Media shows all of the horrific acts that extreme groups like Isis pursue, for example 9/11 but never show the people standing up to what Isis does. If these people were shown more on media to the U.S. and to Islam it could be possible to reduce people in extreme groups. Some people get angry at the United States based on purely the ignorance of different views and groupings in the Muslim religion that eventually turn more extreme. If people were shown in the U.S. that not all Muslims are terrorists and that some Muslims hold not so harsh beliefs a lot of the friction coming off from our side would be subsided. Not only showing the U.S. more positive media would provide help but also showing Islam would as well. Showing people that there are others standing up for what they believe in could help cause a movement of people do to the same. It only takes one person to step up to start a movement of people. Most people are scared of the extremist group and don’t want to get hurt, but together as a whole would change the
