One of the causes in the decrease in salmon catching is due to the rise in sea temperature. In the Film it stated that in the 90s the sea temperature was much warmer than it is today. This could mean that since the water temperature is too cold for the salmon they migrate some where else where it is warmer. Another cause of the decrease in Salmon, is that not a lot of salmon are making the journey back from the ocean to fresh waters where they lay their eggs, which causes less reproduction of salmon.
One other impact of global warming that the film addressed was the problem of spruce beetles. Spruce beetles usually live in the south where there is always a high temperature. In the film it showed in recent years the beetles have been migrating to the North, which is unexpected because the North is the coldest, but with recent climate change and the increase in temperature spruce beetles can be found in Alaska. The migration of spruce beetle not only shows the drastic change in temperature but it also causes problems, in the documentary it stated that the spruce beetles in some areas have destroyed 90% of
