2. How Facebook had changed on society
As technologies nowadays are constantly growing and changing rapidly, society has expected to improve along with the new technologies. Social media, such as Facebook is one of the improvements of the new technology. It allows us to interact, share, and exchange information with each other. According to founder Mark Zuckerberg, there are one in seven people on Earth used Facebook, which is more than 1 billion people. (Elgot, 2015) In fact, Facebook had slowly changed on society within this decade.
2.1 Facebook Changed How We Keep in Touch

(Fitzgerald, 2012) This means that people will tend to use Facebook when they are bored or want to look for something special to entertain them. We also can apply use and gratification theory on Facebook because we, as Facebook users are actively use it to seek the gratifications for our needs. (Fitzgerald, 2012) It simply means that when we are bored, we will tend to search something that is interesting on Facebook to entertain ourselves while when we need some information, we will interact with some useful pages on Facebook to make sure that we are well-informed. Furthermore, there are many functions in Facebook that can brighten our life. For example, we can share our ideas to those who have common interest with us or we can watch and share the video that people posted on Facebook aw well as view pictures and read stories. Apart from that, Facebook not only allow people to share their ideas, but also product and services, they can always share opinions of the products or services that they had tried or experienced before on Facebook to those who never tried …show more content…
