The future is coming at us in full speed with plenty changes here and there. One of these changes includes the invention of drones. Drones are quickly on their way to becoming a significant addition to aviation. They are being used more frequently and consistently, varying from movie making to crop dusting, and even for self-entertainment. Even though drones do have their benefits, the FAA has not created all the regulations containing drones just yet. In order for this to occur, the FAA will have to step up their game and create a safe way to regulate the drones to allow people to use them. Drones are quickly being widely known in the U.S and even some other countries. The FAA still has not released any regulations on the drones and keeps pushing back when they would release the new. The United States still has not been able to use the drones commercially. According to the Verge, The Federal Aviation Administration 's, “Forthcoming drone rules might require all operators to have a license and limit flights to daylight hours, requiring dozens of hours in the cockpit of a manned aircraft, and limit flights to under 400 feet and within sight of the person at the controls.” In 2014 The FAA said, “As it stands now, drone usage is in a state of legal limbo, leading to confusing and potentially dangerous uncertainty in appropriate use.” The FAA has faced delays in implementing new rules they said because of federal government shutdown in 2014. There has been many drone sightings which causes dangers to commercial airspace. Captain Lee Moak, President of the Airline Pilots Association said, "I think many people don 't realize they are flying them in commercial airspace and it could cause a significant hazard.” Drones should not be endangering commercial airspace this is unsafe for the passengers as well as the aircraft. Flying drones close to an airport is a hazard and should not be done as well. The FAA has only released a rules stating that “drones must fly under 400 feet within sight of the operator(s).” It is a smart rule because this helps limit the potential problems and accidents that may occur and all aircraft are well above 400ft that are not close by to any airports because the drones must stay 5 miles away from airports this is good because it limits the hazards a drone can cause to a commercial aircraft.
