The introduction of technology to our lives has created a positive effect in education. Nowadays with advancement in computer technology, the use of digital media has become more usual than ever in classrooms across the US. Institutions of higher learning offer complete online degrees. Meanwhile grammar schools, middle schools, and high school are starting to see an increase usage of digital media in their classrooms. With 86.75 percent of the U.S. population having some type of internet access, this statement is accurate. We do everything over the internet; from keeping in touch with love ones to completing our educational goals. In the last couple of years the number of students taking online classes has seen a steady increase. According to E. Allen and J. Seaman (2013) in 2013, 32 percent of college/university students were participating in one or more online courses. In an article “Revolution hits the universities” by T. Friedman (2013), he explains how MOOCs will revolutionize the method of education in the next few years. This will create an easy access/low cost method of delivering education to students around the world. With some of the best universities already offering courses thru this platform, soon we will see more and more institutions following the same path. If MOOCs eventually become what T.
