The war on terror was always part of the United States. We have always fought terrorists and wanted to bring them to justice. However, the attacks of 9/11 gave the United States a push to find who did this and bring this to justice. Before the attacks the United States were basically playing world policeman, after the attacks President Bush declared that it was an act of terrorism and they would bring the terrorists to justice. The attacks of 9/11 changed the nation’s views toward terrorists and brought about a sense of nationalism throughout the citizens of the United States. They made it to where the citizens of the United States knew that something needed to be done about the terrorists. Hundreds of people lost family members that day, children
