The Impact Of 9/11 On America

Decent Essays
My book is about people who risked their life's for others. Also it explains all kinds of things that happen on 9/11. 9/11 was a terrorist attach which they hijacked four planes and 2 of them crashed into the twin towers and killed thousands of others. There was 2 other ones, but one of them hit the Pennington and the other one crashed that was heading for the white house. They crashed because the passengers took control. It also has a lot of people who were hero's in the book too. Like the firefighters never stopped looking until they couldn't walk any more. I think that the firefighters should have gotten more credit. The book was one of my favorite books I ever read. It taught me so much about 9/11 and how it had such a big impact on America.

In my opinion Mrs. Quindlen, your point of view, the way you see how 9/11 is bifurcated tells me you’re someone who is able to view certain things differently. You gave a great example of it, how September 11 is your son’s birthday and 9-11 is the day America was hurt both physically and mentally but also brought us to our senses to never let our guards down again. Many people responded to 9-11 severely because the attack still continues to affect the health and well-being of victims’ families and friends, survivors, rescue and recovery workers health. Personally the situation now as us Americans look back is a day that changed our lives. Especially those who lived through it, having to remember the tragic day vividly.…

When the attacks occurred, we had already been in the 2001 Recession since March of that year. For the first time since the Great Depression in 1933 with President Roosevelt, the stock market closed until September 17th. This, in turn, caused the Dow to have its most severe one-day fall in history.…
