A single bully can turn everyone into bullies and so these people whether they are students or working people act like the Iks. South Korea is a very technologically advanced country and has one of the fastest internet connections in the world. South Korean teens are now in the middle of this technological era. South Korean teens are also very susceptible to being bullying and having depression. Simon and Martina, a Canadian couple living in South Korea, discussed on their Youtube channel about their experiences as teachers to South Korean students. Many students are overwhelmed due to stress but sometimes also due to bullying. Suicide rate among students and people in general in South Korea are very high. One phenomenon among Korean schools is when one student will be isolated from the entire school community. A Wangtta, which means an outsider, does not spend time with anyone from the entire grade and school. Once that status is placed on a student he or she is avoided by all even though only a tiny group of students gave that student the Wangtta title. All the other students would avoid being friends or even having contact with the Wangtta even though there has never been a problem with said Wangtta.
