The idea of student cheating in school and not really trying to learn is a subject that almost any reader can be attracted to because of the simple fact that everyone was a student at some point in their life. Many readers may be interested in why students cheat or how students are cheating. Another perspective a reader may have is from the eyes of a teacher. This topic can attract many different types of audiences and cater to all of them depending on what they are looking to get out of it and their own personal background and experience. A secondary audience may be the school board, a professor, or even students themselves. They need to understand what is going on in their school systems. The board needs to come to the realization that something needs to be done about cheating besides just ignoring it or telling teachers to give out zeros or detentions. That is only a short-term solution to a problem that will actually affect the American society as a whole. If everyone is cheating and no one is learning, then how can we make any advances as a society or civilization?
