The ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle stated, “educating the mind without educating the heart, is no education at all” (BrainyQuote). In other words, intelligence that is not cultivated by an informed value system of ethic – is not intelligence at all. nowledge of how you should live, how you should treat others, the environment, those lessons come from the heart. That is what lies in the understanding of ethics, using rational knowledge to apply compassion to every decision you make. Accordingly, the IMA adopted a code of conduct which outlines four guiding standards in the IMA Statement of Ethical Professional Practice, which ensures the highest level of ethical practice and professionalism.
