When it comes to cooling off in the summer, the Huntsmen spider is no exception. However, fear not, as these spiders are generally timid who will run lighting-fast speed when disturbed (termite.com).As seen in the picture,the Huntsman spider's hairy body length of 1/2" and its long legs is known to like the cooling of flat leaves, rocks, and of course the nice A/C temperatures of corners and roofs in buildings. While they are not dangerous, a bite from them is unpleasant. Take care to not anger a female Huntsman's sac or young in summer! It seems like this Huntsman is preparing to web it's future home.
