The Hunger Games: Katniss Everdeen For anyone who has seen the movies or read “The Hunger Games,” we all know the characters themselves are anything but living in a normal world. The storyline features a future dystopian world, in which these characters endure a brutal lifestyle that is only further complicated by a so called hunger games. The hunger games were an invention of the capitol in punishment for an uprising of the original thirteen districts, sixty-four years prior. These games were mean to instill fear in each of the remaining twelve districts, in order to prevent any future uprisings from occurring. In order to punish them, they invented the so called hunger games in which the twelve remaining districts would offer up one man and woman, between the ages of 12-18 years old, to fight to the death in a make shift arena on a nationwide televised event.
