Day 27: I am reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. We are introduced to the main character Katniss Everdeen, she is a part of District 12 who lives with her mother and little sister, Primrose Everdeen. She goes outside to meet her friend Gale, they both go to the reaping, which is the ceremony where they take your name out to participate in the Games. When it was time to pick the names out of the bowl to see one girl and guy from District 12 gets to participate in the Games, Prim’s name comes out of the bowl.
Day 28: In chapter 2, when they hear Prim’s name get called out Katniss panics and volunteers to replace Prim in the games. People volunteering to replace one of the competitors rarely happen in District 12. After Katniss volunteered for

Their plan is to destroys all the weapons from the careers. Since Peeta is cut really bad Cato, one of the careers knows that Peeta is to weak to invade the camp.
Day 43: In chapter 17, Katniss destroys all the weapons from the careers. And she plans on meeting Rue, but a few hours later there was no sign of Rue. And she hears a mockingbird singing the song that Rue sings. And she saw Rue trying to get out of the net and is stabbed by one of the careers.
Day 44: In chapter 18, Katniss shoots the guy that stabbed Rue and he is killed automatically. She goes helps Rue and realizes that she cannot be saved and she sings the lullaby which Rue slowly dies. There is a new modification to the games, instead of one winner if there are two people from the same district that survived they both will win the games.
Day 45: In chapter 19, Katniss realizes that Peeta’s behavior gave them an advantage to the games. When she tries to find for him she couldn’t find him until he calls her, he was hiding as a camouflage since he had experience from his father’s bakery. Peeta tells Katniss what to do in case he is dead. And Haymitch sends a broth to Katniss and
