I have two ideas of movies with a cohesive group, both of which I have watched recently and know pretty well.
Idea #1: The Hunger Games Catching Fire
Small group: Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Haymitch Abernathy, and Effie Trinket.
I think that these four characters are a good choice because they all have to work together throughout most of the movie. They begin working together as a group for the victory tour, and then continue working together when they are preparing for the Quarter Quell games. Once Katniss and Peeta enter the arena, you don't see Haymitch and Effie come in direct contact with them, but you know that they are working on getting sponsors for them. You also see that they did work ahead of time to get allies, and set up
