The film can also been interpreted as a warning to woman seeking unanimous autonomy.
The film narrative is that of a journey genre where both women begin a vacation with the intentions of progressing away from their struggles with the relationships of their partners and to embark away for their normal reality. In which the road it’s self can be interpreted as a symbol which thus instigates a transformation through such journey.
Which through such a journey both Thelma and Louise completely remove themselves form there reality towards that of a new and embracing personal discovery’s, therefore transcended towards the road to unanimous autonomy for women proving a high level of value.
Such that Thelma and Louise through the journey are exposing women to male orientated genres in which invoke the female audiences to experience as to what they wish to aspire towards, with such sophistication between narrative genre and gender towards a feminist view asserting light on the confrontation experienced during the sixties and seventies and within current society (Karen, …show more content…
