The Hundred-Foot Journey (2014)
It is interesting how a hundred feet can make a big difference in someone’s life. This film has taken a hundred feet distance of the road to connect an India and France family; in order to tell an amazing story of love, the understanding of cooking, respect of parenting and the loneliness of a widow. All awhile connecting two countries and families together to create this diverse film called The Hundred-Foot Journey.
The Hundred-Foot Journey Film, was made in 2014. This film is a great Screen Play turned into a wonderful diversified film. The director is Lasse Hallstrom, the screenplay was written by Steven Knight and Richard C. Morais wrote the novel.

Dayal is a great upcoming actor to watch. In this film the character Hassan has a lot of ambition to achieve as a successful chef. He was a very brave and knowledgeable on how to navigate thorough people, family, food and spices, in order to accomplish his goals. He’s a very curious to learn more about French foods and how to evolve the traditional French food with Indian spices. Manish Dayal, who plays the character Hassan, an aspiring chef. Dayal acting was very believable in this film. Dayal not only looked the part of an Indian chef, but his managerialism as a chef was uncanny. The mysterious way his character looked; while he was cooking was amazing. For example, when Papa lost control of the van made everyone the family scared and even frighten me. The feeling of anxious, came over me; while watching the van roll out of control. Also, it was hard to watch Hassan try to put out the fire, when the actor Clement Sibony, the Chef Jean-Pierre’s friends try to burn down their restaurant out of jealously. When Hassan was trying to extinguish the fire; the feeling of fear he portrayed seemed very realistic. The fire was a reminder of the previous restaurant fire. In the beginning of the film, when the mob came and started the restaurant fire; it was very sad to watch the mother get trapped and be burned alive. That effect and the high actions of the fire racing throughout the restaurant was very convincing and upsetting. The distress Hassan and his family had to endore watching this tragedy was hard. The most disturbing part was watching Hassan father; Papa calls out to wife while she was burning. After Papa became a widow, he depends a lot on Hassan. Hassan and his father’s had a respectful business relationship. It seems they were very close and had a very high respect for one another’s opinion. His father listened to Hassan and try hard to understand his feeling and reasons for his actions. In return Hassan listen to his father knowledge of people and why they react in different ways.
