The Human Trafficking Ring

Decent Essays
Despite so many people in the human trafficking ring being moved across the borders, a vast number of women and children still remain trapped in their own country. Victims that are taken in a foreign country usually have their passports taken from them and cannot communicate due to the language barriers. By not having any belongings such as money, food, shelter, or even family, their captors become who they rely on. The abductors will more often than not tell the victim that if police arrest them then they will be incarcerated so they are too frightened to flee. In some locations, victims are even handled more as criminals and have to deal with prosecution or deportation, only to be re-victimized after they have escaped.

The government has also put together several programs to aid in the recovery of the victims.…
