The largest human organ is the human skin, which covers a humans outer being. The general shape of the human skin is much like elastic flat bread stretched to fit an entire skeleton. The human skin resides in the outer realm of the human body like nails. The skin functions as a protection from the elements such as microbes, helps regulate body temperature. Without the skin and nerves could not feel sensations such as heat and cold. Why is touching important? According to Tracy Connor, touching reduces anxiety, helps with bonding, lowers one 's blood pressure, and improves one 's outlook on life (Connor, 2011).

Humans are constantly in motion and working even while sleep so if humans had just one type of tissues that would most likely stress the body and mind. For example If a person 's joints contain heart tissue then him or hers joints could possibly tear or rip. The human body has to no be stressed to function effectively and that is the advantage of having so many different type of cells, moreover, the body need these different forms to allow a person to move their body in nano seconds. Time is important, however, that may sound cliche, but time and timing come into play regarding all life. It does not take no longer than nanoseconds for my fingers to type this sentence, but the information is traveling from my brain to my fingertips.
