Raised in a single parent household with three older brothers was quite amazing and challenging. When it came to exposure to the human sexuality life, I wasn’t sent to the room when she was talking to my older brothers about that part of life. With my mother being one of the Health Nurses at the STD clinic, she enlighten us, on how important is to stay away from the whole activity and what it can lead to. As we started to get a little older, to really understand the religious background of things it switch from listening to my mother to listening to God’s word.
Having a spiritual support, which is my family, is what kept me from a lot of temptation. Since little children we quoted different scriptures that expressed the situations we were in. Having God on our side, gave us the opportunity to call on him when we are in trouble. I kid you not, every time I was with my girlfriend and it started to get a little emotionally physical, my mother would call.
