From a very young age the human body drew my attention. I was interested in what medicines work well together, and which ones do not. The seamless interworking of the human anatomical system fascinated me. It was the only system I could think of that was completely flawless. I watched people I loved take many medications at a time and I would find myself searching the Internet for information on these drugs. As the years went on I was diagnosed with multiple diseases. I was constantly researching these diseases out of pure curiosity for how they affect me. I was debating between what specialties I would choose after medical school, would I be a surgeon or would I be an oncologist? In that moment I knew I wanted to be responsible for learning about as medications as I can. I wanted to learn about all drugs used to treat all diseases. This would satisfy all of my learning needs. I would be able to learn about body systems but more importantly I would be able to help in the treatment process. It always perplexed me how pharmacists were able to balance so many drugs due to the multiple illness and diseases. I am interested in following people through the course of their treatments and monitoring all of their issues. The way drugs work fascinate me and I find it miraculous and challenging to tailor peoples drug plans to their individual needs. I believe this allows for pharmacist to develop a personal relationship with patients and allows them to access their case from many angels. There are many benefits of being a pharmacist. The first of which is knowledge. Pharmacists are able to be very knowledgeable about many subjects. They need to understand the various drug interactions in order to ensure their patients
