All of the nutrients required by the human body can be found in a plant-based, cholesterol free diet (Campbell, The China, 230). The meat and dairy industries are two of the largest industries in America, so revealing to people that these foods are the source of most health problems is not something big businesses see as profitable. The greed for money has become more important than the health of American citizens. The industry of modern medicine has slowly become a source of corruption instead of healing, as it is supposed to be. In the Texas Children 's Hospital, patients are served McDonald 's in the cafeteria, and the doctors have absolutely no problem with it (Spurlock). These patients are being spoon-fed the cause of their illnesses. This hospital is just one example; thousands of hospitals across the country allow the same thing. Patients all across America, instead of being healed the natural way, are being fed the source of their illnesses while continuing to pay for medicine that treats only their side effects rather that eliminating the source of the problem (Campbell, The China, 332).
