The Huiana Internship

Improved Essays
The main purpose of an internship is to have an experience in a work field you want to pursue a career in, and gain skills that can be applied to that field. The experience I had in the Huiana Internship, checked out both those things. I applied 60 hours of my time interning at a gym called Trunk Trainers. Trunk trainers is not like any other gym. Their purpose is to encourage other individuals to make fitness a priority, they offer the best individualized programs to meet one's health and wellness vision.
One of my favorite things about Trunk Trainers is the environment. My mentor Kelsie Wehren, maintains a positive attitude, and makes working out enjoyable. We share the same mindset towards exercising. Kelsie told me that she loves her job

I have met with Oni Kinberg from the VA. I was impressed with Oni's clear pride in their internship program and his dedication to facilitate a positive, useful, and effective learning environment for their participants. After we met and he showed me around the facility Oni had me sit down with one of the current interns privately and she had glowing feedback. After I waited a few days to receive a call back from the other two agencies I contacted, I decided to accept the Oni's offer apposed to chasing down a potentially less organized internship program.…
